   ===============================================
1. If you are using Metacity window manager:
   ===============================================

        In the folder 'gconf' you will find some settings and readme file for the metacity theme.

   ===============================================
2. If you are using Emerald window manager:
   ===============================================

        Use Emeral Theme Manager to install the themes available in the Emerald folder.

   ===============================================
3. Fix Firefox's menu text:
   ===============================================

        To fix the firefox bug you need to put the file userChrome.css in you profile's directory. For Firefox the path is ~/.mozilla/firefox/(xxxx).default/chrome/ where (xxxx) is some text different over installations. For Thunderbird the procedure should be the same.

   ===============================================
4. Use in root programs (e.g. Synaptic):
   ===============================================

        To use the theme for the root programs (Synaptic) you need to type this in therminal:
                sudo ln -s ~/.icons /root
                sudo ln -s ~/.themes /root

        That creates a link to the local folder where you keep your themes.

   ===============================================
5. Compiz-Fusion Settings:
   ===============================================

        You can load the settings that goes best with New Wave by starting up the Advance Desktop Effects Utility program from the System > Preferences menu. There you could load the settings that are located in the Compiz-Fusion folder.

   ===============================================
6. Installing the icons - Elementary Ubuntu:
   ===============================================

        The icons are hosted on the Launchpad project page (see 7. Useful Links - Icon repository). To download the you should have bazaar version control system installed on your PC.
        You can download it from here: 'http://bazaar-vcs.org/Download'

        After you have bzr installed you will need to check out (download) the icons by typing the command that is specified if the 'Get this branch:' field on the web page loaded earlier, e.g. 'bzr push lp:~ubuntu-new-wave/anton/devel.icons'.

        Then you should have the icons downloaded in the folder where the terminal was opened (by default is your home one).

   ===============================================
7. Installing Lock-Dialog theme:
   ===============================================

        This themse the Gnome lock-dialog window. You can download it from the wiki or Gnome-Look.org (see 8. Usefull links). Then follow these steps to install:

        1. Unpack files to /usr/share/gnome-screensaver/. If you update you should replace all old files with the new ones. You may exclude the README file.

        2. Open gconf-editor (Alt+F2, type it and press enter) change the entry apps/gnome-screensaver/lock_dialog_theme from 'default' to 'newwave'

        3. Enjoy!

        To enjoy this theme fully I recommend using a picture of your choice of size 96x96 px. You could change your current one by going to System > Preference > About Me and click on the button besides your name.

        If you want to get back you old theme you should do step 3 in reverse: replace 'newwave' with 'default'
